The Rev. Dr. Brian Ballard,
Senior Pastor

Pastor Brian

Pastor Brian earned his undergraduate degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. In 1997, he graduated from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, SC, with a Masters of Divinity.  He recently completed his Doctor of Ministry in Congregation Mission and Leadership at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN.  Pastor Brian previously served three congregations in North Carolina: Family of Faith, Harrisburg; Low’s, Liberty; and Holy Trinity, Hickory. In addition to pastoral leadership, he enjoys time spent with family and friends, regular exercise, simple spiritual practices, and a great cup of dark roast coffee. The Rev. Sherry Morrison,
Associate Pastor

Pastor Sherry


Pastor Sherry is a 1987 graduate of Wayne State Univ. in Detroit, MI. She earned a Master of Divinity degree from Gettysburg Seminary in 1994.  Pastor Sherry's first call was in Hollis, Queens, NY.  She then served as Associate Pastor in Winchester, VA, Centreville, VA and McLean, VA before moving south to Norcross, Georgia.  Pastor Sherry leads faith formation, caring ministries, and congregational fellowship at Christ the King. Her ministry mission is to help children, youth, and adults discover their God-given talents, spiritual giftedness, and passions so they can discern how and where they can build up the body of Christ. In partnership with Pastor Brian, she seeks to help people become Christ’s disciples in the world.

 

Dr. John Marsh,
Director of Music and Worship
 

John Marsh

John Marsh began his musical training studying piano with his aunt, Rosa Weikel. He earned degrees from Indiana University and the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. Dr. Marsh leads musical ensembles, plans liturgies and supervises music staff and worship guilds. Active in The Leadership Program for Musicians, he has served LPM as faculty, local coordinator and past chair of the National LPM Board. In his personal time, John enjoys reading, listening to all kinds of music, cooking, friends and good conversation.

 

Anthony Rimore,
Music Associate & Organist

Anthony Rimore studied Organ Performance at the Eastman School of Music with David Craighead and Timothy Albrecht of Emory University. He has been Director of Music & Organist at several churches, including Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester, New York, and for 15 years at St. Hughes in the Grove in Miami, Florida, as well as King of Kings Lutheran Church in Portland, Oregon.  He brings a wealth of musical experience in all genres and especially loves creating liturgical music using electronic innovations with an extensive library of software synthesizers and programs on the Macintosh Computer.
