Come PLAY with us!

In the Children's Ministry at Christ the King we invite you to come "PLAY!" with us.  PLAY is an acronym we've developed to express our identity:  Passionately serve, Live in God's Word, Act in and with love, and You-nite the church. 

Passionately Serve – we believe it is our call and our commission to serve God, and serve others.  But we also believe that we must do that passionately, as an out-pouring of our love for the Lord, using the gifts and talents with which we have been blessed.

Live in God’s Word – we believe that the Bible, God’s Word, is our essential guide in all the things of life.  It is not only his inspired word, but the place where he reveals himself to us, and we recognize that we must continue to read and study the scriptures to develop a deeper, more personal walk with Christ.

Act in and with Love – we believe we are to do all things with love, as Christ did, and use John 15:12 as our guide for right living.

You-nite the Church – we believe it is the responsibility of all members of Christ the King to work to bring the body of Christ together; because we recognize that we are “better together” – we can do infinitely more and better things when we come together than we ever could on our own.

It is our goal that every member of the Children’s Ministry family will know this identity and live into its precepts.  It will be the measure of every ministry member and the focus of every ministry program.  We pray that God will use this identity to transform the members of our ministry so that our light may shine even brighter for others to see so that they may glorify the God we serve.  We hope that you will “Come P.L.A.Y. with us!”    

Children's Ministry Mission Statement

It is the mission of Christ the King Lutheran Church Children's Ministry to provide for the spiritual development of children by: offering the Good News and the grace of Jesus Christ through discipleship and service opportunities that are relevant, fun, interactive and age-appropriate; equipping their families with the tools and support to inspire their children to a life-long journey of faith; and by demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ.
