Christian Directed SIngles (CDS) invites singles over 40 of all denominations to join them for their activities. The following are planned for the month of June.
* Sundays at 1:45pm for group Walz lessons at the Knights of Columbus, 2620 Buford Highway. $7 per person. Each session will include instruction along with time to practice. Contact Norma at 770-449-1211 ext. 156.
* Saturday, June 7th 9:30 am at Norcross Cooperative Ministries, followed by an optional lunch in Norcross. NCM is an ecumenical ministry dedicated to providing emergency assistance to families in the City of Norcross and surrounding areas. It is supported by twenty local churches and numerous businesses, civic and social organizations, foundations and individuals. Those who wish to help but cannot be there can donate non-perishable food items. This is also a great time to clean closets and donate gently used items of clothing. * Satuday, June 14th 6:00 pm DInner, Movie, Etc. at Roger and John's Norcross home. Bring your favorite for the shared potluck dinner at 6 pm. Video at around 7:15 pm. This month's feature The Mission stars Jeremy Irons and Robert De Niro as a missionary and a penitant ex-slaver in the 18th century wilds of Brazil. Their success in establishing a Catholic mission among hostile natives is undone by worldwide political forces. RSVP to Roger if interested in participating by calling 770-449-1211 ext. 156.
* Sunday, June 22nd 6:00 pm is Social Night at Abbott's Bar and Grill, 10900 Medlock Bridge Rd., Duluth. Meet, socialize, and share a meal and fellowship. Contact Sally at 770-449-1211 ext. 156.
* Saturday, June 28th 7-11 pm. Duluth Summer Concert entitled "Rockin Thru the Ages," featuring local bands. Numbers will include "The Sock Hops," 50s and 60s "Old Dog," Southern Rock 60s and 70s and "Dejavu" hits from the 70s and 80s. The concert is free!
