Adult Christian Education & Support (A.C.E.S.)
The EDGE
The EDGE is the newest look for our Adult Sunday school here at CtK! To check out what's happening click on the title above!

The EDGE (previously Adult Sunday School) is launching another set of new classes on Sunday mornings! All adults are encouraged to participate in growing their relationship with Christ! We are amiss if we believe that coming to the worship service on the weekends is enough to sustain us spiritually throughout the week! We all need spiritual nourishment just as we need physical food. Can you imagine having one meal a week and that’s it? We wouldn’t be able to function physically, and our attitudes would go down hill! That being said, what’s on the wave??

"Surviving Disasters of Biblical Proportions"

July 6th - August 31st

Sundays 11 am Room 142

Disaster

Since some say our world is lurching towards major disaster, it's a good time to study the Biblical disasters that God's people endured in both the Old and New Testaments. This series fits in well with a busy summer schedule because each class stands on its own. Each session is drawn from Bible text, commentaries, historical references and even some contemporary events. Our discussions will take these big stories down to the personal level to learn how their faith and relationship with God enabled individuals to get through truly trying times and events! The class is taught by Steven Henke and runs from July 6th through August 31st. Join us Sundays at 11 am in Room 142!

Class Schedule:

July 13, 2008: The Genesis Disasters

Like Everything else, our disasters start in Genesis. We'll cover it all from the Fall and Flood, Babel, Sodem and Gomorrah and the famines that moved Abraham and Joseph's families. There's enough for everyone to compare and contrast with our times. So please come and help us learn what happened to people like us in this important book of the Bible!
